"The sound creators Lutz and Andreas of Blind Effects are no unknown persons in the center of Germany. Over 5 years the two guys work on the realization of their musical vision to combine Industrial and Dark Electro in one unique kind of music with a more and more growing sucess. They that this will not be a revolution of the music industry but their sounds always fascinate the ears." M. Strohschein / Refraktor 2007
Once upon a time in the year 2000, a young guy named Lutz T. tried to combine his love for music and computers. Lonely sitting on his synthesizers and PC one day another music-lovin guy attended Lutz' place. The two sat together in the garage of Lutz father drinking some beer trying to get some musical stuff out of their machines. The opinion about the songs was not always the same (no songs with lyrics in the traditional way). Some songs were published under the name "neustrohm" on CD-R. This step was important for the next step to found a new project together. First experiences in production, sampling, coverartwork and more were made.
A short time later: "Cybersex" was published in a amount of 5 pieces but got no
re-release until today - there are not many good reasons for that. A bigger edition was planned for the debut album "distance/existence" as CD-R containing Andys' voices for the first time. It was 2002 and the first shows were played. Two years later in 2004 Lutz and Andy supported the band Projekt Pitchfork at the Schlosshof Weißenfels that resulted in fantastic feedbacks. With this run and new ideas in head the two worked hard on their 2005 published album "Operation Beta" - also crowned with praise again.
Apropos crowned: At the 2008 Battle of the Bands Award of the Sonic Seducer magazine Blind Effects finished in 4th position with "Painkiller" (published in 2008 on the PAIN E.P.) This Song developes more and more to a special tip for the clubs - not only in Germany. Switzerland was visited by these guys.
With the Pain E.P. Blind Effects made new ways. Guitar player Alex riched the CD with some hard guitar hooks. Now Stephan does his work on the strings. Without any questions: 2010 will become a successful year for Blind Effects... |
